Gazprom, Lukoil mull JV for development of 2 fields
MOSCOW, Dec 13 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom and oil major Lukoil are preparing a joint venture for development of the Vaneivisskoye and Layavozhskoye fields in the Nenets Autonomous District, Gazprom said in a statement on Thursday.
CEOs Alexei Miller and Vagit Alekperov discussed the issue at a working meeting, the company said.
Miller and Alekperov also discussed long-term prospects for cooperation in supplies and processing of natural gas at the Sosnogorsk gas processing plant of Gazprom, the company said.
In 2016, Gazprom won an auction to develop the Vaneivisskoye and Layavozhskoye fields with geological and recoverable reserves estimated at 223.098 billion cubic meters of gas and 86 million tonnes of oil.
